Turner & Townsend and NPX partner to pursue nuclear projects in Canada

Turner & Townsend and Nuclear Promise X Inc. (NPX), announced a strategic teaming agreement to jointly pursue and deliver nuclear project opportunities across Canada.

“This partnership is built to support what the nuclear industry needs next: strong delivery, deep expertise, and a culture of innovation and trust. With growing demand for clean, reliable energy, Canada is experiencing a renewed push for new nuclear projects. Nuclear energy offers a proven path to decarbonization, and Canada has the potential to add up to 30 gigawatts of new nuclear capacity by 2050 to help meet its net-zero emissions targets. By combining Turner & Townsend’s global project delivery capabilities with NPX’s nuclear innovation leadership, this collaboration is uniquely positioned to enable the next generation of nuclear projects,” said Gonzalo Rosa, director – Energy and Natural Resources, Canada, at Turner & Townsend.

“Nuclear energy forms part of the solution of delivering reliable, safe and carbon-free energy across Canada. By leveraging the combined expertise of Turner & Townsend and NPX, we aim to deliver best-in-class Canadian and international nuclear expertise in line with our commitment to building a green, inclusive and productive world.”

The two-year teaming agreement, with the option to extend annually, brings together Turner & Townsend’s global expertise in project management and project controls with NPX’s deep nuclear sector knowledge and technical innovation capabilities. The initial focus will be on Canadian nuclear projects, with the flexibility to expand internationally where it makes sense to do so.

“We’re looking forward to transforming nuclear energy delivery in Canada. Turner & Townsend brings extensive experience delivering complex energy and infrastructure projects worldwide, offering structure, rigour, and scale. NPX complements this with its people-first, innovation-driven approach to modern nuclear project delivery.
