New members appointed to BC Transit board

Four new members have been appointed to BC Transit’s board of directors, joining three continuing members.

The composition of the board of directors is set out under the British Columbia Transit Act. The members are four elected local government officials and three other individuals appointed by order in council.

The following new members have been appointed to the board:

  • Karen Elliott, mayor of Squamish
  • Lyn Hall, mayor of Prince George
  • Lisa Helps, mayor of Victoria and member of the Victoria Regional Transit Commission
  • Blair Redlin

The new members join the following continuing members on BC Transit’s board of directors:

  • Catherine Holt, chair
  • Susan Brice, councillor of Saanich and chair of the Victoria Regional Transit Commission
  • Wendal Milne

The BC Transit board of directors is responsible for supervising the management of BC Transit and appointing the chief executive officer.
