WSP working to acquire Opus International Consultants

WSP Global Inc. and UEM Edgenta Berhad have announced that they have entered into an agreement under which WSP will acquire UEM Edgenta's 61.2 per cent in Opus International Consultants Limited (OIC), through a New Zealand takeover offer. WSP has, through a wholly-owned subsidiary, filed a notice of intention to make this takeover offer, in cash, for 100 per cent of the fully paid shares in OIC at NZ$1.78 per OIC share. ACCIONA Energy has named Rafael Esteban as CEO of ACCIONA Energy USA Global LLC. In this role, Esteban will be responsible for the growth of ACCIONA’s renewable energy portfolio in the U.S. and Canada markets, and the operation of 966 MW of wind and solar energy projects in the two countries. Ontario, Michigan launch cross-border automated vehicle test drive

Ontario and Michigan are completing North America's first national, cross-border automated vehicle test drive through Southern Ontario and Michigan, promoting innovation in the auto sector and driving economic growth. Minister of transportation Steven Del Duca and federal minister of innovation, science, and economic development Navdeep Bains were in Windsor to mark the milestone. ITC Lake Erie Connector Project receives approvals

ITC Lake Erie Connector LLC has announced that Canada’s Governor in Council has approved the issuance of a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity for the ITC Lake Erie Connector transmission line. The National Energy Board (NEB) issued the certificate on June 26. The NEB provided its initial recommendation of the certificate to Canada’s Governor in Council on January 19, 2017. On June 23rd, the City of Detroit and the Delray Community Advisory Group (CAG) announced that they reached an agreement with the State of Michigan and the Windsor-Detroit Bridge Authority (WDBA) to sell 36 city-owned parcels of land, underground assets, and approximately 8 kilometres of city-owned streets as part of a series of landmark agreements totaling $48 million in development of the Gordie Howe International Bridge.
