CNAM 2010 promises to build on the success of the past three CNAM Workshops in Hamilton, Halifax and Calgary. Mark your calendar! The Canadian Environmental Conference and Tradeshow (CANECT) will be held May 3- 5 2010, at the International Centre in Mississauga. Held annually since 1992, this event attracts senior people responsible for environmental engineering, regulations and compliance issues.

Scheduled session topics include:

  • Environmental regulation and compliance
  • Brownfields- the new rules
  • Industrial air emission regulations
  • Complying with the new toxic reduction acts
  • Waste management and diversion initiatives
  • Land remediation issues for buyers and sellers
  • New GHG reporting regulations and reduction plans
  • Managing approvals and permits
  • Coping with inspections and investigations
  • Reporting spills and other emergencies

Organized by Envirogate Event Management Inc, CANECT 2010 will again be co-located with Partners in Prevention. This annual health and safety tradeshow of the Industrial Accident Prevention Association (IAPA) attracts some 6,000 delegates. Combined, the two shows are expected to attract some 500 exhibiting companies and 8,000 tradeshow and conference delegates.
