Three teams qualify for Fleurimont Hospital construction project

The Société québécoise des infrastructures (SQI) in collaboration with the Estrie Integrated University Health and Social Services Center – Sherbrooke University Hospital Center (CIUSSS de l’Estrie – CHUS), has announced that three teams have qualified to submit a proposal for the design, construction, and financing of the mother-child center and urgent care for the Fleurimont Hospital in Sherbrooke.

The three teams will be invited to participate in the call for proposals, once the project’s business case has been authorized by the Quebec government.

Qualified candidates, made up of the companies below, are:

Pomerleau inc.

  • Lemay / Group A (main subcontractor)

  • SNC-Lavalin (main subcontractor)
  • Tetra Tech (main subcontractor)

EBC inc.

  • Menkes Shooner Dagenais Letourneux Architects (main subcontractor)
  • Cimaise Architects (main subcontractor)
  • Stantec Experts-Conseils Ltée (main subcontractor)
  • WSP Canada Inc. (main subcontractor)
  • Cosime Infrastructure & Energy (main subcontractor)

Fleurimont Health Group

  • Astaldi SpA (member)
  • Jodoin Lamarre Pratte architects (main subcontractor)
  • Yelle Maillé and Associates Architects (main subcontractor)
  • SDK and Associates Inc. (main subcontractor)
  • SM Consultants inc. (main subcontractor)
  • Jubinville and Associates Architects (main subcontractor)
  • Pageau Morel and Associates inc. (main subcontractor)
  • Construction company TEQ inc. (main subcontractor)

This major project aims to reposition the supply of care and services in pediatrics and obstetrics, as well as the urgency to allow the hospital to better assume its regional mission in general, specialized, and highly specialized care. It also provides for the construction of an expansion of some 26,400m2 on the hospital site to accommodate the mother-child center and the new emergency facility.
