We caught up with Regina’s Mayor, Pat Fiacco, at this month’s National Infrastructure Summit. The two-year-old annual event is Fiacco’s baby and, now that he’s in his last term as mayor, some are wondering whether it will continue or fizzle.

Fiacco thinks other cities are willing to take on the summit. But it’s no easy feat. Regina City staff worked hard to put on the national event, and not every city can devote the resources necessary. For now, the event is in limbo.
