The Cliffwalk at North Vancouver’s famous Capilano Suspension Bridge Park is a first-of-its-kind structure.  The walkway was built to be unobtrusive as it winds its way alongside the cliff through rainforest vegetation–it has a footprint of just 11 square metres (or approximately 118 square feet).  The entire Cliffwalk was designed to be built by hand using small, light components. Bridge and walkway sections were built offsite and assembled onsite with minimally invasive construction equipment.

Morrison Hershfield recently won the Engineers of British Columbia’s Award of Excellence in the Natural Resource, Energy & Industry category for this project.
